  • Upcoming Courses
    Upcoming Courses

We are happy to announce plans to run a short course during the Christmas break! Instead of our usual style, we will instead offer shorter sessions from Monday to Wednesday, December 22-24. The days will be split into two parts: 9am-12:30 pm and 1 pm - 4:30 pm. The cost is £30/session or £50 for the whole day. (Ask about our sibling discount too).

The focus of these courses will be on giving, and the children will be encouraged to create and to share. In the morning session, the children will make presents for a family member, play fun games involving lots of movement, and help prepare a tasty and festive lunch! In the afternoon session, children make presents, play more games, and prepare a short piece of drama for the parents to enjoy at the end of the day.

This course will run only from the Hall of Remembrance on Flood Street in Chelsea (SW3) (see this link for details on how to find it). The complete program will be made available soon.

Click here to reserve a spot or get in touch for more information. Spaces are limited so we urge you to book early!

  • Our Philosophy
    Our Philosophy

: coming directly from actually experiencing or seeing something
At First Hand Education we believe that the best way to learn something is by doing it!

Our experienced, enthusiastic, and passionate educators use first-hand experiences as an exciting platform from which to inspire and channel creative responses from your child.

Courses follow seasonal themes, connecting children with the world around them and encouraging them to investigate life’s big questions.
We aim to develop a child’s sense of adventure and discovery by teaching them about their environment, enabling them to relate to it, learn from it, respect it, but most importantly enjoy it!

At First Hand we want to give every child an experience they will cherish and remember fondly for years to come.

The daily program runs from 8:30am-4:30pm. Children are dropped off and picked up from the base at the these times. Occasionally we provide a collection service to and from the base for larger groups.

A week-long course is £240 per child. All activities, transport and food is included in this price. We also offer a daily rate of £65 per child. If you are registering siblings, our rates are £375 for two and £475 for three. Contact for our daily rates for siblings. Also, if you are a busy, working parent ask about our 'garderie' service for early drop-offs and late pick-ups.

Note: To ensure quality we limit enrolment in our courses to 20 children per group (4-7 years and 8-11 years) so book early to avoid disappointment!
